ac Ninh has become one of the densest electronics manufacturing clusters in Southeast Asia. Samsung, Foxconn, Luxshare, Goertek and several hundred of their tier-one and tier-two suppliers sit within a short drive of the venue, and the province is roughly thirty minutes from central Hanoi and thirty minutes from Noi Bai International Airport.
That matters for a static control supplier for a simple reason: the further Northern Vietnam moves up the electronics value chain — SMT assembly, display modules, battery packs, automotive electronics — the less tolerance there is for uncontrolled charge.
A few kilovolts on a film web is a dust problem and a nuisance. The same charge at a pick-and-place feeder, an AOI station or a lens assembly bench is scrap, false rejects, and ESD-latent failures that only surface at your customer's end-of-line test, long after the board left your floor.
And here is the part most factories in the region are living with: they have already bought ionizers. The problem is no longer supply. It is knowing whether the ionizers on Line 3 are still doing what the datasheet promised three years ago. That is why we bring measuring equipment to the show alongside the emitters. Static control is only as good as your ability to prove it.
VIAF & VIMF Northern 2026 is a co-located trio of trade exhibitions organised by OMG Events Management: VIMF, covering machinery, equipment and technology for manufacturing and the supporting industry; VIAF, dedicated to industrial automation, process control, electrical systems and industrial IT; and 3DF, for 3D printing and additive manufacturing.
The previous edition drew exhibitors from more than twenty countries and territories across roughly 17,000 square metres, and the organisers are projecting 700+ exhibiting companies, 900+ booths and 25,000 trade visitors for 2026. Admission is free for business and trade visitors.
For anyone sourcing production equipment in the north, it is the week when the supplier list gets shorter and the shortlist gets decided.
