Static problems and solutions in the packaging industry

Share:
In the entire packaging industry, due to the large number of applications of insulating materials such as plastic paper, static electricity problems are common. There are often problems such as inaccurate labeling, label sticking, dust adsorption, unclear coding, electrostatic shock, etc., but the solution effect Not ideal, many companies are deeply troubled.

The following is the static electricity problems and solutions in the packaging industry organized by Xiaobian.

Static elimination of inkjet marking machine

Problems: inkjet marking is the hardest hit area for static problems. Many types of products need to be marked-including plastic bottles, containers, food, consumer products, toys, IT equipment, etc. Static electricity on plastic products or plastic film packaging can distort the ink pattern and damage the print head or electronic devices.

Suggested: Install the ion rod at a distance less than 100mm from the product.

Static elimination of vertical packaging machine

Problem: The electrostatic adsorption on the film will make the two ends of the packaging bag not tight and easy to open. This is a common problem in the packaging of light and small materials.

Suggested: Install an ion rod at a distance of 30-50mm from the product.

Static elimination of blister packaging machine

Problem: The hot vacuum forming process is also a process of static electricity generation, which causes the blister to have a high static electricity. Therefore, blister detachment, personnel electric shock, blister ash suction, and product blister release often occur.

Suggested:

100 Install a static elimination rod at 100-500 places above the collection box;

During the packing process, you can also install a static elimination bar or a static elimination brush.

Static elimination of packing machine

Problem: During the product packaging process, the static electricity on the packaging film is too large, which will cause uneven packaging and dust absorption.

Suggested:

If the film is stuck on the product or machine, install an ion rod in the position before the film packaging product.

If the unrolled film does not leave the reel or is still wound on the drum, you need to install an ion rod to neutralize static electricity after the film is unrolled.

Static elimination of typical sleeve labeling machine

Problem: the static electricity of sleeve label film will have a great impact on the production efficiency of sleeve label machine: when the tube film is cut and opened, a large static electricity will be generated, usually 5-6KV, which will cause the films to be randomly stuck or stuck to each other On the bottle.

Suggested:

Install an ion rod at a position that avoids the machine parts but can neutralize the static electricity of the membrane tube. The ideal distance between the ion rod and the membrane tube is 50mm.

One ion rod needs to be installed on each side of the diaphragm tube.

Static elimination of labels

Problems: Static electricity may exist on the label or the product itself, such as plastic bottles, etc., which may cause uneven labeling and flying.

Suggested that the correct installation of the ion rod can eliminate static electricity on the label and the plastic bottle at one time. When the label leaves the labeling machine, the ion rod should face the product. However, if there is static electricity before the labeling head, an additional ion rod needs to be installed upstream of the labeling head.

Dust and static elimination for blister

Problem: The hot vacuum forming process is also a process of static electricity generation, which causes the blister to have a high static electricity. Dust and powder on the edge of the blister can cause a tight seal between the blister and its cover.

Suggested:install an ion wind rod 100-500mm above the product.

Static Elimination of Blister Machine

Problem: In the equipment such as aluminum-plastic packaging machine, if the static voltage in the blister is too high, the product will jump out of the blister or absorb a large amount of dust, causing voids or product pollution.
Suggested: You can install a static eliminator or a static brush.

Blister products bouncing

Problem: In the equipment such as aluminum-plastic packaging machine, if the static voltage in the blister is too high, the product will jump out of the blister or absorb a large amount of dust, causing voids or product pollution.

Suggested: Install a static bar to eliminate static electricity.

If you have static problems, Anping Static can provide you with a complete set of static diagnosis + elimination proposals.

1.First help you determine where there is static electricity, or the amount of static electricity at a specified location.

2. Select the appropriate product test according to your production process, equipment space structure, static elimination range, and static elimination requirements.

3. Submit a complete static report after diagnosis and testing.

4. Propose reasonable suggestions for using and installing static eliminator.
5. Provide you with detailed static training and lectures.
